Top CS Break Silence Reveals Health Struggles

Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi has opened up about facing severe health challenges shortly after assuming office at the Treasury in 2024, revealing that he lost a significant amount of weight within just two months.

Speaking to reporters, Mbadi attributed the sudden health issues to the immense pressure and responsibilities associated with managing the country’s finances.

“I lost weight in two months,” he said candidly, emphasizing the personal toll of public service.

Despite the criticism directed at the government’s performance, Mbadi stood firmly in defense of President William Ruto.

He argued that the current administration is taking decisive steps to address Kenya’s economic challenges and urged the public to recognize the progress made since 2024.

Mbadi also pointed a finger at the previous administration, asserting that laxity and mismanagement by the former head of state contributed to the difficult starting point he encountered at the Treasury.

The Treasury chief’s remarks come at a time when economic issues, including inflation and public debt, remain at the forefront of national debate.

Mbadi’s personal health disclosure underscores the pressures faced by public officials in navigating these complex issues.

He concluded by reiterating his commitment to serving the nation and supporting President Ruto’s agenda, emphasizing that Kenya is on a path toward financial stability and sustainable growth.
