I Have Been Lying To My Grown Children For Years. Here's What They Don't Know About My Life

Living alone at my age is not always easy. I am 86 years old, and I sometimes tell small lies to my grown daughters. I do not lie because I want to hurt them. I do it because I know they worry about me all the time....WATCH THE VIDEO HERE.

My daughters often ask if I am eating healthy food, getting enough sleep, exercising, and staying active. They want me to be safe and healthy. I understand why they ask, but sometimes I do not want to explain every little thing I do.

I tell them that I eat plenty of fruit, vegetables, chicken, and fish. That is true sometimes. But I do not always mention the popcorn, pistachios, or rum raisin ice cream I enjoy. When we eat together, I order healthy meals so they will not worry.

I also like making my own choices. Some mornings I eat leftover Chinese food instead of cereal or eggs. It may not be the usual breakfast, but it makes me happy. If it upsets my stomach, I take some medicine. I even keep it hidden so I do not have to answer questions about it.
