Sifuna Among 3 Shortlisted for Opposition Running Mate Slot in Internal Report

A new report indicates that Western Kenya is emerging as the region likely to produce the opposition coalition’s running mate ahead of the 2027 General Election.

According to the KTN report, Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya, DAP-K party leader Eugene Wamalwa, and Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna have been identified as potential candidates for the deputy slot.

However, the coalition is yet to agree on its presidential flag bearer.

This report comes at a time where several principals have expressed interest in the top seat.

These include Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, PLP leader Martha Karua, DAP-K leader Eugene Wamalwa, Democratic Party leader Justin Muturi, and DCP party leader Rigathi Gachagua.
