The dramatic events unfolded in Nairobi, where a mother of three allegedly threatened to throw her sons out of the house after they relentlessly mocked their devastated father, an ardent Arsenal supporter who had invested his emotions heavily in the club’s European campaign.

According to family members, the father, identified only as Otieno, had spent the entire week confidently predicting Arsenal would cruise to victory and secure a place in the next stage of the competition. 

Like many loyal fans across Kenya, he had followed every pre-match analysis, discussed tactics with friends, and even postponed personal errands so he could fully enjoy the highly anticipated game.

However, things did not go as planned.

When Arsenal suffered a heartbreaking defeat, Otieno reportedly sat silently in front of the television for several minutes after the final whistle, unable to process the disappointment.

“He just stared at the screen without saying anything,” one family member reportedly shared. “You could tell he was genuinely hurt because he had so much hope.”
