Wangari Mama Mwiko has made strong claims regarding UDA distribution during President Ruto’s visit to the Mt Kenya region, alleging a massive branding exercise involving a large volume of political merchandise.
She alleged that the United Democratic Alliance party distributed approximately 500,000 T-shirts and 500,000 caps during President William Ruto’s tour of the region, describing the exercise as extensive and highly coordinated across multiple venues.
According to her, the distribution was part of a broader mobilisation strategy aimed at boosting visibility and support for the President during his engagements in various constituencies across Mt Kenya.
Wangari further claimed that despite the alleged large-scale issuance of branded items, only a very small number were later seen being destroyed by opposing youth groups in protest.
She specifically alleged that only 10 T-shirts and 10 caps were publicly burned, an act she described as symbolic and aimed at rejecting the political messaging behind the visit.
