The United Alternative Government led by Rigathi Gachagua, Kalonzo Musyoka, Martha Karua, George Natembeya, Eugene Wamalwa, Justin Muturi and Fred Matiang'i is expected to rally behind a single candidate to face off against President William Ruto in the presidential race.
However, DCP leader Rigathi Gachagua might be sidelined by the opposition team ahead of the next general election. Here are the reason why he might be sidelined, and the signs that it could happen:
First, Gachagua reportedly demanded to be given 50% share in the government if the opposition wins in the upcoming general election. This demand looks high considering that there are other principals are also contributing to the camp.
