Governor Anne Waiguru has apologized to the people of Mt Kenya following the impeachment of former Deputy President" Rigathi Gachagua.

Waiguru said the emotional reactions that followed the impeachment reflected deep pain among residents, but warned that such feelings should not lead to division or isolation from other communities in the country. 

She emphasized that Kenya’s strength lies in unity, urging leaders and citizens to avoid statements or actions that could fuel regional tension.
