"I Trusted Him With My Heart, Now I Need Justice"- Woman Seeks Kenyans Help to Find James Opande

Mwihoko resident claims a man she trusted, James Opande, a Kenyan currently living in the United States, secretly recorded and shared explicit videos of her in a vulnerable state at a city nightclub.

“I trusted him completely,” Naipei said, her voice shaking. “He promised marriage and even offered to pay school fees for my child. Now, my dignity has been shattered, and I want justice.” She alleges that on the night of the incident, her drink may have been spiked, leaving her unable to consent to the acts that were recorded.

The story has ignited a heated debate online, with Kenyans split between condemning Opande’s alleged actions and questioning the circumstances surrounding the videos. Activist Geoffrey Mosiria has publicly supported Naipei, calling for swift legal action against those responsible.

Police investigations have already led to the detention of two individuals linked to the video's circulation. Opande was intercepted at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport while attempting to leave the country. He denies recording the footage and claims Naipei pursued him, citing his marital obligations.

The case sheds light on growing concerns about consent, digital privacy, and exploitation in relationships, particularly those spanning continents. Naipei seeks not only legal consequences but also compensation for the emotional and social toll she has suffered.

As the Buruburu police continue their investigation, Naipei’s plight serves as a cautionary tale in a world where private moments can instantly become public scandals. Her call is clear: violations of trust and privacy must have real consequences.
