Safina Deputy Party Leader, Willis Otieno, has mocked President William Ruto for admitting that some of his projects are unpopular.
This is after Ruto stated that he has been investing in the right initiatives, some of which lack the support of the majority of Kenyans.
He cited the Universal Health Coverage and Affordable Housing projects, which he claimed are necessary for the nation's growth and he will, therefore, not abandon.
This comment has surprised Otieno, who has wondered why Ruto is still insistent on things Kenyans don't want, likening him to a kid bragging about his driving skills while reversing into a wall.
"This is like a kid proudly telling you he knows how to drive while still reversing into every wall on the street," he says on X.
He says that Kenya needs someone who knows what he is doing, and not someone who is engaging in guesswork.
"Kenya deserves a president who actually knows, not one who thinks knowing means smiling for cameras while the country burns."
