The woman, identified as Pricila Njeri, is 35 years old and lives in Nairobi. She walked along a busy roadside wearing a white gown, a veil, and carrying a handbag. In her hands was a placard clearly stating that she was looking for a husband. The message also outlined her preferences, which sparked wide discussion both on the streets and online.
According to Njeri, her decision to take the search public was intentional. She believes that openly expressing her desire for marriage is no different from people advertising themselves for jobs or business opportunities. She said she saw nothing wrong with being bold about what she wants in life.
Njeri explained that she is specifically looking for a man from the Kikuyu community. She prefers someone between the ages of 40 and 45 and based in Nairobi. She also made it clear that she is a mother to a 16-year-old daughter and wants a partner who understands and accepts that responsibility.
Despite being 35, Njeri revealed that she has never been married before. She said that if she finds the right man, this would be her first marriage. Her goal, she added, is to settle down with someone who is serious about building a family.
The wedding gown she wore also attracted attention. Njeri shared that she received the gown from journalists at a local radio station who supported her idea after an earlier attempt to find a partner. Their encouragement gave her confidence to take the bold step.
