Mwengi Mutuse: MP Who Moved Gachagua’s Impeachment Motion Responds To Claims His Vehicle Was Set Ablaze While On The Road

Kibwezi East MP Hon. Mwengi Mutuse has strongly denied viral posts shared online claiming that his official vehicle was involved in a fire incident.

The images, which showed a black SUV engulfed in flames on a rural road, were widely circulated on social media on Wednesday morning.

The lawmaker responded promptly through his official page, urging the public to ignore what he termed as misleading propaganda.

His statement came after a Facebook user posted the photos and claimed they showed Mutuse’s car catching fire while he was on the road.

The posts quickly gained attention, causing concern among residents and supporters who feared for his safety.

Mutuse clarified that the incident had no connection to him or his office. According to him, the photos were taken from a different event that had nothing to do with Kibwezi East.

He said the posts were deliberately crafted to create panic and paint a false picture about his wellbeing.

His quick response helped calm down his followers, many of whom had expressed alarm after seeing the images.

The MP expressed disappointment that some individuals continue to spread misinformation for political gain.

He noted that such actions are irresponsible and risk causing unnecessary tension in the community.

He added that leaders and citizens should focus on facts, especially during a period when false content spreads easily and misleads the public.
