Political Analyst Questions Uhuru's Role in Opposition Unity

Governance and policy analyst Prof. Gitile Naituli has alleged that former President Uhuru Kenyatta's recent political engagements could undermine efforts to build a united opposition ahead of the 2027 General Election.

Speaking during an interview on TV47 Prime on Wednesday, Naituli argued that instead of helping opposition leaders rally behind a common agenda, Uhuru's actions appear to be encouraging parallel political camps.

According to him, such a strategy could ultimately work in favour of President William Ruto as political competition begins to intensify.

Naituli questioned Uhuru's political commitment to former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, despite the former president publicly endorsing Raila during the 2022 presidential election.

He claimed that while Uhuru declared his support, he did not actively participate in campaign activities across the country.
