Uproar as Petition Challenging Kindiki’s Appointment as Deputy President Takes Unexpected Twist

A legal challenge contesting the appointment of Kithure Kindiki has taken a dramatic turn after a High Court hearing scheduled for June 4 was unexpectedly postponed before substantive arguments could be presented...............................WATCH THE VIDEO HERE.

The petitioner, represented by advocate Harrison Kinyanjui, has raised concerns over the adjournment, arguing that a matter involving the country's second-highest office should be handled with complete transparency and openness.

Kinyanjui questioned the circumstances under which the hearing was deferred, expressing frustration over what he described as insufficient public explanation regarding the decision.

“Why would the three-judge bench adjourn the hearing in secret?” Kinyanjui reportedly asked, reflecting the legal team's dissatisfaction with the postponement.

The case was filed by petitioner Enock Aura and is among several legal challenges that emerged following the impeachment of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

At the heart of the dispute is whether the process that led to Kindiki's appointment complied fully with constitutional requirements.
