Ol Kaluo By-election Takes New Twist as Uhuru, Gachagua, Karua Parties Pull Out, Give New Direction

The upcoming Ol Kalou by-election has taken a dramatic political turn after several opposition parties reportedly agreed to abandon plans to field separate candidates and instead back a single contender against the ruling party's nominee.

What had initially appeared to be a multi-cornered contest is now shaping up as a coordinated battle between the opposition and the ruling alliance, following a strategic decision by parties associated with Uhuru Kenyatta, Rigathi Gachagua, Martha Karua, and Kalonzo Musyoka.

According to reports, the coalition partners have agreed to shelve individual party ambitions and rally behind a consensus candidate in a bid to maximize their chances of victory.
