In a strongly worded statement shared on his official X account, Amisi vowed to rally Kenyans ahead of the 2027 General Election to block Ruto’s re-election bid.
“Mweshimiwa William Ruto, tunaenda kukufanya ukuwe one term. Tutafanya Ruto awe rais wa kwanza kuenda wantam,” he said.
Loosely translated, the outspoken lawmaker promised to make Ruto the first president in Kenya’s history to serve a single term.
Amisi’s remarks come at a time when political temperatures are slowly rising, with opposition figures intensifying criticism of the Kenya Kwanza administration over the high cost of living and economic challenges facing ordinary citizens.
While invoking the legacy of Raila Odinga, Amisi revealed an emotional memory involving the veteran opposition leader.

He said that one year before his passing, Raila summoned him alongside Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna and Godfrey Osotsi to Capitol Hill office during the 1pm news bulletin.
“Baba knew us so well. He identified the trio — Edwin Sifuna, Godfrey Osotsi and yours truly Caleb Amisi. He called each one of us, paraded us at Capitol Hill, blessed us and released us to the world,” Amisi wrote.
The MP pledged to protect Raila’s political legacy “by all means necessary,” adding that Kenya needs what he termed a “renaissance” — a rebirth of accountable leadership and people-centered governance.
