"Sifuna Asahau Nairobi, Arudi kwao Kanduyi" Francis Gaitho Claims, Says Neither is Jalango An Option

Political blogger Francis Gaitho has stirred debate after claiming that Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna should “forget Nairobi and return to his home in Kanduyi,” adding that neither is Lang’ata MP Felix Odiwuor, popularly known as Jalang’o, a fallback option.

Gaitho’s remarks suggest that all politicians considered “Raila orphans” must face setbacks regardless of the influence of propagandists or social media campaigns.

Amid this backdrop, Jalang’o formally announced his intentions to contest for Nairobi’s senatorial seat in the 2027 general elections.

Speaking to a local radio station on Tuesday, the first-time MP confirmed that he would challenge Sifuna for the seat, clarifying that he was not running at the behest of President William Ruto.
