Analyst Explains Why Kenya Moja Movement Led By Babu Owino, Sifuna Might Be Kingmakers In 2027

Kenya’s political landscape is already heating up ahead of the 2027 General Election, and one group drawing attention is the Kenya Moja movement.

His comments came hours after Sifuna had been kicked out as the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) secretary general.

During the Past ODM NEC meeting in Mombasa on Wednesday, February 11, Sifuna was removed from the powerful position over alleged misconduct.

The team, led by Nairobi senator Edwin Sifuna, has positioned itself as the voice of a new generation, directly challenging President William Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza administration.

Alongside Sifuna are vocal lawmakers such as Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, Saboti MP Caleb Amisi, and Gathoni Wamuchomba.

The committee underscored that ODM is governed by its constitution, the rule of law and collective decision-making through its duly constituted organs.
