Mwangi Kiunjuri Reveals What Gachagua Has Been Sending Them On Their Phones

Former Cabinet Secretary Mwangi Kiunjuri has weighed in on the ongoing political contest within the Mt. Kenya region, claiming that efforts to unite leaders have been undermined by divisions, rival ambitions, and competing political loyalties. 

Speaking about the region's evolving political landscape, Kiunjuri argued that attempts by former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua to consolidate support among Mt. Kenya leaders have encountered significant resistance.

According to Kiunjuri, the region remains politically fragmented, making it difficult for any single leader to command universal support.

 He further suggested that even President William Ruto has faced challenges in establishing himself as the undisputed political leader of the region due to the influence of various political factions and personalities.

The former CS alleged that Gachagua has been sending messages to elected leaders urging them to recognize and support his leadership. 

Kiunjuri claimed that such communications have generated friction among politicians rather than fostering unity.
