Saboti MP Caleb Amisi has cautioned the Linda Mwananchi movement against relying on alliances with established opposition leaders, arguing that such a strategy could weaken its chances of achieving political change ahead of the 2027 General Election.
The Linda Mwananchi group, led by Edwin Sifuna, is made up largely of ODM members who have opposed their party's growing cooperation with President William Ruto.
The group has consistently maintained that removing the current administration from power is its primary political objective.
Sifuna has previously indicated that Linda Mwananchi is willing to work with any political formation that shares its goal, including the United Opposition associated with former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
However, Amisi argued that the movement risks repeating mistakes that have defined Kenya's opposition politics for years.

He said the group should focus on building an independent political force driven by young people instead of depending on alliances with veteran politicians.
