In a detailed Facebook post on Saturday, Wamuchomba outlined what she described as an elaborate laundering scheme involving a close associate of Governor Kimani Wamatangi. She claimed Gachagua pledged one million shillings to a bereaved family in Ndundu village, Gatundu South, during a public event but left without honoring the commitment.
The MP alleged that the following day, a Wamatangi confidant delivered the cash on camera, creating the appearance of charitable giving while concealing the money's true source.
She identified this individual as someone who has won nearly all Early Childhood Development Education construction tenders in Kiambu County through irregular procurement processes.
More seriously, Wamuchomba revealed that the same person chairs the Gatundu hospital board, an institution she claims is being plundered. She directly questioned whether stolen funds from Kiambu county hospitals are being channeled to finance Gachagua's political activities across the Mt. Kenya region.
The MP suggested this could explain how the former Deputy President recently cleared debts for a Kenya Forest Service hotel he acquired in Mt. Kenya forest. "No wonder he has recently cleared his debts for the KFS hotel," she wrote, implying the payment came from misappropriated public funds.
Wamuchomba also criticized Governor Wamatangi for complaining about political persecution while alleged corruption operates through his inner circle. "And then your governor cries witch hunt!" she stated sarcastically.
The allegations represent the latest escalation in the bitter feud between the former political allies.
Earlier this month, Wamuchomba accused Gachagua of receiving over 600 million shillings during his US tour, which she claimed he used for luxury vehicles and personal debts while abandoning supporters who were arrested or injured during his rallies.
Neither Gachagua nor Wamatangi have responded to these latest corruption allegations.
