Tycoon Who Set Up His Own Police Station Finally Shares His KCSE Results

Eldoret-based businessman Collins Leitich Chepkuley, popularly known as General Chepkuley, has once again found himself at the centre of national conversation after his 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results emerged online.

Leitich, a flamboyant tycoon with reported local and international business interests, first captured public attention in early 2025 when he unilaterally set up the Cheboror Police Patrol Base in Kesses Constituency, Uasin Gishu County.

He said the move was prompted by pleas from local residents who were frustrated by rampant insecurity in the area.


Although the initiative was controversial and reportedly did not follow official procedures, Leitich was never arrested or questioned, fuelling speculation about his influence and connections.

Unknown to many Kenyans at the time, the businessman had quietly registered as a private candidate for the 2025 KCSE examinations.

When Education Cabinet Secretary Migos Ogamba officially released the results on January 9, 2026, Leitich was among the more than 993,000 candidates awaiting their performance.

Soon after, a result slip bearing his name began circulating on social media, triggering mixed reactions and skepticism from some quarters.

However, this Author reached out to Leitich, who confirmed that he indeed sat for the national examinations and that the results were genuine.

His subject scores included D (plain) in English, D- in Kiswahili, E in Mathematics, D in Biology, E in Chemistry, D in History and Government, and C- in Geography.

Speaking candidly, he congratulated all candidates who sat for the exams and dismissed critics questioning his academic background, joking that he now officially has classmates.
