"Seems Like Our Party Leader Is Being Fooled" ODM Politician Alleges After Oburu Oginga Met Sifuna

Alai expressed concern over what he called risky internal actions that would undermine ODM in a social media post.

He proposed that some people were setting themselves up to leave the party while inflicting harm from within.

His comments implied that the party head was getting bad advice and specifically mentioned Secretary General Edwin Sifuna.

He maintained that if such acts are not stopped, the party's power and cohesion may gradually deteriorate.

He voiced fear that internal power struggles and deceptive advice around the leadership could cause ODM to lose its direction.

Notably, after Oburu Odinga's recent meeting with Sifuna, Alai's comments seemed to be directed at him.

The timing of the tweet implied discontent with Oburu's public stance following his interaction with the Secretary General, whom Alai sees as contributing to the party's issues. But Oburu Odinga painted a quite different picture.

He portrayed a picture of harmony and serenity within ODM after meeting Sifuna. He characterized the interaction as constructive and presented Sifuna as a dependable, moral person dedicated to the party's democratic ideals.

ODM is still united and focused, Oburu stressed. Divergent viewpoints are common in any democratic movement, he pointed out, and they shouldn't be confused with division.

Open discourse, in his opinion, makes the party stronger rather than weaker.
