Critics, however, caution against politicising enforcement, noting that public officials should be held to the same legal standards as ordinary citizens.
Political analysts observe that Kimani Wamatangi’s response appears carefully calibrated. By affirming his commitment to the law while challenging the manner of enforcement, he positions himself as both a defender of legality and a victim of perceived excess.
His declaration to run again in 2027 sends a clear signal that he intends to convert adversity into political momentum.
