Junet Mohamed Joins UDA Leaders At Ruto's Backyard For Empowerment Event

MP Junet Mohamed on Friday, January 23, joined Senator Aaron Cheruiyot and MP Kipsang in Kericho for comprehensive empowerment programme aimed at supporting youths.

The initiative brought together local leaders and community members, focusing on creating opportunities that promote economic participation and self-reliance among women and young people.

Discussions during the programme centered on skills development, entrepreneurship, and access to resources to strengthen livelihoods.

In addition to empowerment activities, the leaders provided support to needy students in Kericho.

The programme sought to remove barriers that limit access to education, ensuring children from disadvantaged backgrounds can pursue their studies and realize their potential.

During the visit, the delegation witnessed the official subdivision of Tabaita location, which borders Kisumu County and Homa Bay County.

The subdivision aims to enhance administrative efficiency and foster peaceful coexistence among residents of the neighboring counties.

Leaders highlighted that clear administrative boundaries and effective management are critical in reducing conflicts and promoting harmony between communities.

MP Junet Mohammed emphasized the importance of collaboration between county and national leaders to implement development initiatives effectively.

He urged residents to take full advantage of the empowerment programmes and educational support offered to improve their living standards.

The visit comes days after MP Junet Mohammed hinted at a possible political realignment ahead of the 2027 General Election.

In a recent interview, he suggested the opposition could support President William Ruto if ongoing dialogue yields favorable outcomes.

His remarks came amid questions about why leaders who had previously criticized Ruto are now warming up to him, reflecting the dynamic and unpredictable nature of Kenya’s political landscape.
