The three-day meeting in Mombasa was chaired by former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua and brought together DCP lawmakers and aspirants to assess the party’s progress and map out its 2026 and 2027 strategy.
Malala, who has been widely viewed as Gachagua’s deputy and a central figure in the party’s early days, was notably absent. His no-show added to growing speculation, especially after he has also failed to appear in several recent DCP rallies.
