Celebrated media personality Fridah Mwaka has opened up about her life and disclosed to the whole world that she has been promoted at work.

The sassy queen, who normally works as a Swahili news anchor at NTV, has revealed that she is now also a News Editor.

Fridah Mwaka disclosed this big news in a post that she made on her Facebook account on Monday, the 12th of January, where she was clearly over the moon to have landed the new role.

"2026 marks a special milestone in my journey 10 years as a #SwahiliNewsAnchor, and with immense gratitude, I now hold the added role of #NewsEditor. Looking back at my career, I can't help but reflect on the path that got me here. From the early days to this point, every challenge, learning opportunity, and achievement has played a vital role in shaping my journey..." she said in part.

Fridah Mwaka also used the post to point out the important things that have enabled her to stay in the media industry for those 10 years.

They included how she has passion for what she does, how she always dreamt to be in media, how she always embraces challenges, how she always continues to learn, and how she always speaks the truth.

Fridah Mwaka also revealed that she always adapts to change, builds connections, thrives in a fast-paced environment, impacts lives and stays true to herself.

It should be noted that Fridah Mwaka has been promoted to news editor after working as just a news anchor at NTV for over four years.

The sassy media personality actually joined the Nation Media Group-owned station in 2021, after she called it quits with KTN, where her media career began.
