All 914 candidates who sat for the national exam attained a C+ grade and above, meaning the school recorded a 100% transition to university, a rare and remarkable achievement.
Speaking on Friday, January 9, after receiving the results, the school’s Chief Principal Linet Pino announced the outcome to continuing students amid cheers and jubilation.
According to the breakdown shared by the principal, the class of 2025 produced nine A (plain), 178 A-, 396 B+, 273 B (plain), 54 B-, and four C+ grades.
The results represented a positive deviation of 0.6 points compared to the school’s 2024 KCSE performance.
“This is a proud moment for Asumbi Girls. Every candidate has qualified for university placement, and this is a testament to discipline, hard work, and teamwork,” Pino said.
She attributed the stellar performance to close collaboration among students, teachers, parents, and support staff, noting that success is achieved when every stakeholder plays their role effectively.
Asumbi Girls, which has maintained a strong academic record for decades, was ranked among the top-performing schools nationally, posting an impressive mean score of 9.7.
The results further cement the school’s reputation as one of the leading national schools in the country.
Following the announcement, celebrations erupted across the school compound as students poured onto the playing field, singing the 2025 candidates’ anthem and dancing in excitement.
The atmosphere was one of pride and motivation, especially for the younger students who drew inspiration from the outgoing class.
Looking ahead, Principal Pino expressed optimism about future performance, revealing that 764 candidates have already been registered for the 2026 KCSE examinations.
