19 Injured as Rescue Teams Move to Save Students After School Bus Overturns in Endarasha, Nyeri

At least 19 people were injured on Saturday morning, January 31, 2026, when a school van transporting pupils to Mahehe Friends Academy overturned in Endarasha, Nyeri County. The vehicle veered off Charity Road in Kieni West and rolled into a roadside ditch.

Emergency teams responded immediately after the accident. The Kenya Red Cross, together with county ambulances and local rescue personnel, rushed to the scene. Rescuers worked to free those trapped in the van and provide first aid before transferring the injured to medical facilities.
