DCP Opens Registration for 2027 Aspirants, Reveals Fees and Requirements

The race to the 2027 General Election is slowly shifting into high gear, and the Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) has already made its first major move.

The party has officially invited aspiring politicians to begin registering for its nomination process, outlining who can apply, the fees to be paid and the documents required before one can be cleared to seek the party's ticket.

Anyone hoping to contest under the DCP banner will be required to pay a registration fee through the party's designated PayBill account before submitting proof of payment together with personal details.

Applicants must also provide their full names, national identity card numbers, phone contacts and the county, constituency and ward where they intend to vie, as well as the elective seat they are seeking.

The fee structure varies depending on the position. Those seeking MCA seats will pay KSh5,000, while parliamentary candidates, Woman Representatives and Senate hopefuls will each part with KSh10,000. Gubernatorial aspirants will pay KSh50,000, the highest amount among all elective positions.
