BREAKING NEWS: Several University Students Feared Dead in Accident While Travelling to Elvis 'Beast' Burial

A journey that was meant to bring students together to honour the memory of their former colleague has turned tragic after a bus carrying members of the Technical University of Mombasa (TUM) fraternity was involved in a serious road accident in Kisumu County.

The students were travelling from Mombasa towards Kisumu on Friday, August 7, ahead of the burial of former TUM student leader Elvis “Beast” Otieno, when the bus reportedly crashed along the Awasi-Ahero highway in the Nyando area.

The accident has triggered grief and anxiety among students, relatives and friends who were waiting to receive the mourners in Kisumu. The group was expected to join other mourners ahead of Otieno’s burial, scheduled for Saturday, August 8.

According to information released by Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Sheriff Nassir, two people had been confirmed dead by the time of his statement, while several other passengers sustained injuries of varying severity. READ FULL STORY HERE.
