Nakuru Mum Abandons Newborn Baby By Roadside, Leaves Handwritten Note

A newborn baby boy was found abandoned in Nakuru County on 28 June 2026, with a handwritten note tucked beside him revealing a mother's desperate circumstances and a plea for her son's safety.

The infant, named Levi Baraka and estimated to be six days old at the time of discovery, was found alive at Eden Village in Ngata Division, Kiamunyi Location, Mercy Njeri Sub-Location, within Rongai Sub-County. He had been born on 22 June 2026.

The letter the mother left behind was written in clear, measured English and painted a picture of profound hardship.

She described herself as an orphan with no siblings or relatives to turn to, homeless and abandoned by the baby's father, who, she said, denied the pregnancy and evicted both of them. READ FULL STORY HERE.
