Trump Reveals Who Authorized It to Proceed With Construction of Ebola Facility Despite Court Order

The controversy surrounding the proposed U.S.-backed Ebola quarantine facility in Nanyuki has taken a new turn after U.S. officials indicated that construction activities continued because Kenyan authorities informed them they could proceed with preparations despite ongoing court proceedings.

According to reports, approximately 20 flights carrying medical equipment and specialist personnel have arrived at the facility site at Laikipia Air Base as part of preparations for the proposed 50-bed quarantine unit.

The development comes despite orders from Kenya's High Court temporarily suspending the establishment and operation of the facility while legal challenges are being heard.

The court also directed the government to disclose details of the agreement between Kenya and the United States regarding the project.
