Former Deputy Chief of Staff Eliud Owalo has signalled his willingness to work with former Chief Justice David Maraga, former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i and Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka as political realignments gather pace ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Owalo, who recently announced plans to launch a political party, said he was ready to partner with leaders who share his vision for the country. In a statement shared on X on Sunday, he said leadership should be judged by performance rather than campaign promises.
"My work record speaks for itself. Many politicians make promises during elections, but leadership is measured by the record and results. I believe that experience in managing institutions with transparency and accountability can be used to build a strong economy and promote Kenya's success in sports and other areas," Owalo said.
He said his political agenda would focus on the economy, employment, taxation and public debt.Owalo also said he wanted to work with leaders committed to addressing challenges affecting ordinary Kenyans, regardless of their political affiliation.
His remarks come as political parties and leaders continue holding consultations ahead of the next General Election, with several opposition figures exploring possible alliances. Maraga has remained active in public debates on governance and constitutional matters since leaving office, while Matiang'i has recently criticised the government's proposed annual vehicle inspection charges.
Kalonzo, the Wiper party leader, continues to play a central role in opposition politics as preparations for the 2027 election gather momentum.Continue Reading The Story By Clicking Here.
