"Give Ruto Another 5 Years, Then It's ODM's Turn" Ichungwah Say Kalonzo Can't Compete With President

UDA MP Kimani Ichungwah has urged residents of Suna East, Migori County, to grant President William Ruto a second term, promising that ODM would get its shot at the presidency once Ruto completes his tenure.

Speaking to a charged crowd in the Nyanza stronghold, Ichungwah framed the 2027 election as a strategic waiting game for ODM supporters rather than an immediate fight for the top seat.

"I am asking you to give Ruto another five years. After he is done, we will plan on how ODM will lead us and form another government," Ichungwah told residents.

The Kikuyu legislator then turned his attention to the opposition, dismissing Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka's camp as fundamentally incapable of mounting a serious challenge against the incumbent.
