National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung'wah has outlined the level of pressure Members of Parliament placed on President William Ruto during efforts to remove former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

Ichung’wah said a section of MPs had taken a firm position after earlier attempts to act against Gachagua stalled.

He explained that some lawmakers were frustrated after Ruto had previously defended and retained Gachagua in office on two occasions.
