Suna East MP and National Assembly Minority Leader Junet Mohamed has said the 2027 General Election will be a historic moment that could change Kenya’s political thinking forever.
Speaking during a meeting with grassroots leaders in Migori County, Junet said Kenyans must reject the idea that leadership belongs to specific communities, families, or individuals.
He described the coming election as a chance to open leadership to every capable citizen, regardless of background.
“This coming election will not just be about choosing leaders—it will be a national decision to end politics that excludes some people,” Junet told the gathering.
“The belief that certain people cannot be president or leaders must be buried in 2027.”
In a humorous moment, Junet joked about his own political ambitions.
