"End of Era on the Road" DCI Pins 3 Car Thieves Face-Down on Tarmac in Dramatic Buruburu Arrest

Three suspected car thieves were arrested on Friday during a coordinated operation by detectives in Nairobi's Buruburu estate, bringing an abrupt end to what authorities believe may be part of a wider vehicle theft network operating within the city.(Watch the video here).

The suspects were cornered along Mtindwa Road after detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) reportedly acted on intelligence regarding suspicious activities linked to motor vehicle theft. 

Videos shared online showed the three men lying face-down on the roadside as officers secured the scene, attracting the attention of curious residents and passersby.

Witnesses said the operation unfolded quickly, with detectives moving in before the suspects could flee. Members of the public gathered nearby as officers took control of the situation and placed the men under arrest.
