According to Ahmednasir, the race for political dominance in the region is already taking shape, with multiple heavyweights expected to compete for the support of millions of voters.
He pointed to William Ruto, Uhuru Kenyatta, Fred Matiang'i, and Rigathi Gachagua as the key figures whose influence could significantly shape the region's political direction ahead of the next polls.
Ahmednasir argued that President Ruto is likely to mount an aggressive campaign to maintain the support he secured in Central Kenya during previous elections.
At the same time, he suggested that Uhuru Kenyatta and his allies could throw their weight behind Fred Matiang'i should he emerge as a major challenger on the national stage.
