Ngirici and Waruguru Criticise Ruto After Strong DCP Nomination Turnout Signals Political Shift

 

Former Kirinyaga gubernatorial aspirant Wangui Ngirici and former Laikipia Woman Representative Cate Waruguru have intensified political pressure on President William Ruto after recent Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) nominations attracted unexpectedly high voter turnout in parts of Central Kenya.

The two leaders argued that the growing participation in alternative political parties reflects a changing political mood ahead of the 2027 General Election.
