Nairobi Woman Rep Esther Passaris has hit back at critics who judged her dressing, saying women should wear what they want.
Hon. Passaris, addressing the issue, said adults should feel free without restrictions, and her dresses are her choice.
"We are not going to allow cases of Gender Based Violence to continue in the country. We condemn such incidents and my dress my choice" Passaris.
Hon. Esther also revealed she's not seeking re-election, leaving the Nairobi Woman Rep position open.
On ODM, she backed Dr. Oburu Odinga following Raila Odinga's death, urging supporters to rally behind him.
Mama Ida Odinga supported her, telling dissatisfied Kenyans to register and vote for their preferred candidate.
Dr. Oburu said Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna remains ODM Secretary General, despite some politicians calling for his expulsion for allegedly going against party rules.
The ODM dynamics are fluid, with leaders navigating post-Raila Odinga leadership.
Passaris' stance on dressing has sparked conversations about women's empowerment.
The upcoming elections are shaping up, with various positions open for contestation.
