Meet Veteran 86-Year-Old General Moses Ali Who Has Been Elected as MP in Uganda Elections, Details

Eighty-six-year-old General Moses Ali has been successfully re-elected as the National Resistance Movement (NRM) Member of Parliament for Adjumani West Constituency in Uganda’s general elections. His victory extends one of the longest political careers in the country and confirms his continued influence in West Nile politics.

General Ali, a veteran politician and former army officer, faced younger challengers but maintained strong support across the constituency. Voters cited his experience, long record in public service, and role in securing development projects for the region as key reasons for backing him once again.

The Adjumani West race attracted national attention due to Ali’s age and history in Uganda’s political landscape. He has served in several governments over decades and remains one of the most recognisable figures within the ruling NRM party. His re-election highlights the party’s firm grip on the constituency and the loyalty he continues to command among voters.
