According to reports, the Gathigiriri Ward MCA aspirant was expelled from the party after she accepted money from President William Ruto's Nyota Empowerment Programme.
Maureen Kori actually made it clear that she just received the money because she was qualified as a youth.
She also said that this did not mean that she had shifted her loyalty from the former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua to President William Ruto.
"Nyota Fund was created for youth empowerment, not political loyalty. I am a youth, I qualified and I deserve equal treatment.
Excluding me from DCP party because of Nyota Fund is unfair!" She said.
Maureen Kori also made another post where she admitted that things have not been easy for her since she received money from the Nyota Empowerment Programme.
The MCA aspirant actually shared a photo of herself being in low spirits, and then she said in a caption:
"It's not easy 😭😭".
