Emmanuel Sang Kechwo from Bureti Constituency is overjoyed after scoring a D+ in the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams—an achievement he proudly celebrates after dropping out of school six years ago.
Emmanuel revealed that financial challenges forced him to leave school before completing his studies. However, he later made a bold decision to return and picked up from Form Three, eventually joining Form Four at Reresik Secondary School.
Speaking after the release of the results, Emmanuel said the D+ grade has renewed his optimism.
“This result gives me hope for a better future. I’m grateful to God for how far I’ve come despite many challenges,” he shared.
Friends and community members have praised his resilience, saying his determination is proof that grades do not define a person’s potential.
Close friends congratulated Emmanuel for refusing to give up. One described him as relentless and deeply committed, encouraging him to keep pushing forward as his academic journey continues.
Another urged young people facing similar struggles to learn from Emmanuel’s story and believe in second chances.
Emmanuel’s story comes amid national conversations about KCSE results, with many Kenyans reminding students that life does not end with low grades.
For Emmanuel Sang Kechwo, the D+ is not an end, but a fresh beginning, and a powerful reminder that resilience, courage, and persistence can open new doors at any stage of life.
