In a bold announcement made during a live interview on January 7, Miguna outlined a transformative agenda centered on socialism, integrity, and the empowerment of ordinary Kenyans.
"I am going to vie for the presidency of the Republic of Kenya in 2027, and I am going to do it on a transformative vision," Miguna stated emphatically.
He emphasized that his platform would prioritize a people-centered approach, rooted in socialist principles rather than capitalism, aiming to redefine the country's political direction and combat elite capture.
"It is a vision built on integrity and built on socialism," he added, signaling a departure from mainstream economic policies.
Miguna, a dual Kenyan-Canadian citizen currently based in Toronto, recounted his past experiences, including his dramatic exile in 2018 following his involvement in the controversial swearing-in of opposition leader Raila Odinga as the "People's President."
His return to Kenya in 2022 after a four-year absence has kept him in the public eye as a vocal critic of successive governments.
