Mama Ida Odinga Breaks Into Tears, Please Forgive My Husband Raila Odinga If He Wronged You

A deeply emotional scene unfolded in Bondo as Mama Ida Odinga broke into tears, pleading with Kenyans to forgive her late husband, Raila Odinga, if he had wronged anyone during his lifetime.

Speaking during a gathering at their Opoda home, Mama Ida’s voice shook with emotion as she remembered the long political journey of the man many referred to as the “People’s President.”

She said Raila was a man who lived for the people and often sacrificed his own peace for the good of the nation.

“If my husband ever wronged you in words, actions, or decisions, please forgive him. He was only human,” she said tearfully, drawing emotional reactions from the crowd.

Mourners and leaders who had gathered at the homestead were seen wiping tears as Mama Ida spoke about the difficult life her husband endured for the sake of democracy.

She recalled moments when the family faced threats, imprisonment, and separation, saying that despite all the pain, Raila remained committed to fighting for justice and fairness.

Mama Ida also thanked Kenyans for standing with her family during the difficult mourning period.

She described Raila as a strong-willed man who loved peace and unity, urging citizens to continue living in harmony as a way of honoring his legacy.

Various leaders present at the event praised Raila’s contribution to the country’s democracy and national dialogue.

They said his courage, leadership, and belief in equality would continue to inspire generations to come.

The event was filled with songs, prayers, and tributes from close friends, family members, and supporters.

Many described the moment as one of the most touching since the passing of the former Prime Minister.

As Mama Ida concluded her emotional address, she asked Kenyans to remember Raila not for his political battles but for his unwavering love for the nation and its people.

Her heartfelt plea left the gathering silent, reflecting on the long journey of a man who dedicated his life to Kenya’s freedom and unity.
