The family of Alphonso Ochieng' is struggling to come to terms with his death, revealing they never knew he had married until police informed them he had allegedly been killed by his wife in Rongai, Nakuru County.
According to the family, Alphonso had kept his personal life private and never introduced his wife to relatives or disclosed where he lived. His brother, Stephen, said the news came as a double tragedy—losing a loved one while discovering he had been living a secret family life.
Alphonso is alleged to have died after being stabbed during a domestic altercation at the home he shared with his wife, 37-year-old Carolyne Chebet. The suspect has since been arrested and is assisting police with investigations into the incident.
