A wedding ceremony in Mtwapa, Mombasa, took an ugly turn after the groom allegedly refused to pay a customary fee that would have allowed him to see his bride.
According to the report, the disagreement over the payment quickly escalated into a tense standoff between the two families, turning what should have been a joyful celebration into a scene of disorder.

The footage showed the group pressing against one another under the open sun as emotions ran high and the atmosphere became increasingly strained.
The report says the groom’s side allegedly declined to meet the traditional payment expected in some coastal wedding customs, and when negotiations broke down, the groom’s entourage is said to have pushed their way into the bride’s compound instead of waiting for the matter to be settled.
While the video did not show any direct physical fight, it clearly reflected a highly charged confrontation at the entrance. READ FULL STORY.
