Cooperatives and MSMEs Cabinet Secretary Wycliffe Oparanya has ruled out leaving President William Ruto's administration to join the opposition, saying he has no reason to abandon the government for an alliance whose future remains uncertain.
Speaking during a public event on Sunday, July 27, Oparanya said he is fully committed to serving in the Kenya Kwanza administration and questioned the logic of leaving government to support politicians who are not currently in power.
Addressing calls for him to join the United Opposition, Oparanya said it would be unreasonable to abandon a government he already serves in for one that has not yet been formed.
The CS also urged leaders to respect one another despite political differences, saying elected officials should prioritise unity and development over political rivalry.
He stressed that leaders have a responsibility to work together for the benefit of Kenyans regardless of party affiliation. TO READ MORE, CLICK HERE.
