Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has once again turned heads with remarks that appeared to place part of the responsibility for Kenya's current challenges on his own political decisions.
Speaking during a political gathering attended by opposition leaders in Kakamega County, Gachagua told supporters that he was prepared to accept blame for helping President William Ruto secure votes during the last General Election.
His comments drew loud reactions from the crowd, many of whom listened keenly as he reflected on his role in the campaign that brought the Kenya Kwanza administration to power.
According to Gachagua, he spent considerable time traversing different parts of the country alongside Ruto, urging Kenyans to support their presidential bid.
