Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, has launched a scathing attack on Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen, accusing him of failing to act on intelligence reports warning of planned violence and destruction of property.

In a strongly worded statement issued after Murkomen's recent interview, Gachagua claimed the Interior CS had exposed what he described as glaring weaknesses in the government's security strategy.
